The government of India had provided Rs 33.79 million for the execution of a solar electrification project in this village.The village now has solar panels, maintenance-free batteries and 75-watt home lighting systems.The government of India has executed 13 other solar electrification projects, the Indian Embassy said in a press release.Last year, India executed similar solar electrification projects in Jaljale village development committee of Tehrathum district at a cost of Rs 34.Col MS Dhanoa, defence attache at the Indian Embassy, inaugurated the project and handed it over to the Village Consumers Committee at Jaljala village of Baglung in the presence of senior local officials of the government of Nepal, community leaders and representatives.
